Johnny Allen Hendrix, mais tarde renomeado para James "Jimi" Marshall Hendrix, (Seattle, 27 de novembro de 1942 — Londres, 18 de setembro de 1970) foi um guitarrista, cantor, compositor e produtor norte-americano, amplamente considerado um dos mais importantes guitarristas da história do rock. Como guitarrista, ele se inspirou nas inovações de músicos do blues, tais como B. B. King, Albert King e T-Bone Walker, assim como nos guitarristas de R&B (rhythm and blues), tais como Curtis Mayfield. Jimi Hendrix é considerado por muitos como, o maior guitarrista de todos os tempos.
